While talking about The Two Brothers by Leo Tolstoy, we started talking about what we would have done. To practice this grammar (would+have+past participle), write a composition about three scenarios.
Title your composition: What I Would Have Done Differently...
Each of your paragraphs should start: What would I have done differently? I would have.... (The describe what you would have done.)
Your three paragraphs should describe three different scenarios.
Scenario 1: What would you have done differently if, like Pink, your best friend was gone? (Perhaps s/he moved away or maybe s/he even died...)
Scenario 2: You heard on the news that a house was fire last night. A baby was in the house and died in the fire. What would you have done?
Scenario 3: Make up any scenario and describe what you would have done differently.
Remember to start each paragraph: "What would I have done differently? I would have..." This will make it like a poem.
